Key features

The Delivery Group integration provides the following key features:

  • Ship from destinations: The integration supports shipping from locations in Great Britain (GB) only.
  • Ship to destinations: Users can send shipments to Great Britain (GB), Europe (EU), and the ROW (Rest of the World).
  • Outbound/Returns services: Outbound only.
  • Incoterms: DDU and DDP
  • Label formats: PDF and PNG.

Service enhancements

  • Signed: To require a signature is required upon delivery of the shipment.
  • Delivery instructions: To provide special instructions related to the delivery of the shipment. This may involve guidance on how the package should be handled or specific requests regarding the delivery location (for example, leave at the back door or deliver to a neighbour to sign).

Additional features

The TDG integration provides the following additional features:

  • Package type: Single-package shipments only. Consignment services are not supported.
  • Package dimensions: Mandatory for TDG.

Carrier API services

The following services are included in the The Delivery Group carrier integration:

  • SubmitItemAPI: This is used to pre-advise the Delivery Group of shipments. In this case, we will request The Delivery Group to send the label in the SubmitItemAdvice response, which returns the shipment tracking number and label, therefore there is no need to call the GetLabel API to retrieve the label.
  • TrackingAPI: The Delivery Group’s tracking API uses the same credentials as the SubmitItemAdvice API. Therefore, the username and password set on the shipping account linked to the tracking account is used to authorise requests to the Tracking API.
