Import requirements for commercial clearance customers

Commercial clearance customers are businesses or organisations that require specialised services to facilitate the import of goods, particularly focusing on the customs clearance process.

The commercial clearance customers typically engage with customs brokers and logistics providers to ensure their shipments comply with regulatory requirements and are processed efficiently at borders.

Customers prepare commercial customs data/paperwork to their independent customs brokers specification. This has no implication on Royal Mail. Items are prepared by the shipping customer as if they were domestic using domestic labels and providing domestic specification data. The key difference to domestic is that you assign the import service codes.

To efficiently handle the imports, make sure to adhere to the following requirements.
